Quynh Luu: Implementing policy work during the Lunar New Year of the Goat (2015).

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of February 7th, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Quynh Luu district held a conference to disseminate and implement policies before, during, and after the Lunar New Year of the Goat in 2015.

Overview of the conference

At the conference, policy officers from 33 communes and towns reported on the distribution of relief rice to poor households during the Tet holiday. As of February 6th, 100% of communes and towns had completed the distribution of rice to 3,680 households, equivalent to 12,770 people, with a total of 191,550 tons of rice allocated by the central government. The rice distribution to poor households was carried out in accordance with the directives of higher authorities; no communes distributed rice incorrectly or in excess.

Regarding the policy of giving Tet gifts to poor households and families with meritorious services to the revolution, relatives of martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, etc., Quynh Luu district requires commune-level policy officers to carefully review and compile accurate and clear lists of recipients to avoid missing or underpaying gifts.

This year, in addition to gifts from the province, Quynh Luu district will give each recipient 500,000 VND from the 2015 Tet for the Poor fundraising campaign. Furthermore, the district has instructed policy officers to advise local authorities on planning activities such as celebrating the Party and the Lunar New Year, meeting with students, wishing longevity to the elderly, and organizing cultural and sports exchanges for the people to enjoy the Tet holiday safely, economically, and healthily.

On this occasion, Bac Nghe An Irrigation Company Limited and Nghe An Investment and Development Bank presented 11 gifts to war invalids, families of policy beneficiaries, and policy beneficiaries who are children of war invalids or martyrs currently working in the area, each gift worth 500,000 VND.
