Quynh Luu: Deploying site clearance work at the intersection with National Highway 48B

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 10, Quynh Luu district held a conference to deploy site clearance work for the construction of a grade-separated intersection with National Highway 48B through Cau Giat town.

The construction project of the grade-separated intersection between National Highway 1 and National Highway 48B and the section of National Highway 48B connecting the intersection to Lach Quen Port has a total length of 12.13km, invested by the joint venture of Traffic Construction Corporation 4 (Cienco4) - Corporation 319 (Ministry of National Defense) with a total investment of 371 billion VND, using the surplus capital of the National Highway 1 expansion project from Km368+400 (Nghi Son) - Km402+330 (Cau Giat) and is expected to be completed by the end of 2017.

The project passing through Cau Giat town affects 311 households living at the intersection and on National Highway 48B, of which 4 households must relocate to the resettlement area.

At the conference, the investor representative announced the decisions, policies, and scale of the project. The People's Committee of Quynh Luu district approved the compensation policy for land acquisition and resettlement. The majority of households were enthusiastic and agreed with the land acquisition policy.

Quynh Luu district leaders emphasized that immediately after this conference, all levels and sectors need to organize a complete, accurate, and objective inventory of land and assets of households in accordance with regulations and ensure the progress of the Provincial People's Committee and the plan set forth by the district's compensation council.

In addition, people also have recommendations such as: projects with designs that are not suitable to local reality, all levels and sectors need to consider and come up with more realistic solutions to avoid affecting people's lives and activities; clearance and compensation must be public, transparent and accurate.
