(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of April 16th, Quynh Luu district, in coordination with IDC International Development Joint Stock Company, organized a conference to disseminate information and provide advice on labor export to members of the Labor Export Steering Committee and farmers' associations in 18 communes of Quynh Luu district.

In 2013, Quynh Luu district had over 780 people going abroad for work, mainly to Taiwan, Japan, Russia, and the Middle East. Overseas employment is a way out of poverty for many rural families. However, many rural workers currently lack basic knowledge, leading to them being scammed when going through the overseas employment procedures. To mitigate this situation, at the conference, delegates were briefed by the company on the Law on Overseas Employment, legal regulations, and recruitment procedures, such as: how businesses are allowed to collect fees from workers, and what fees are permitted; This includes the rights and obligations of the parties involved in labor and providing advice on overseas labor export markets in Japan, Eastern Europe, Malaysia, etc. The aim is to prevent the spread of misinformation that negatively impacts overseas labor export activities in localities and to strengthen communication with workers seeking overseas employment, ensuring they comply with labor export laws, especially those whose contracts have expired but who remain illegally residing in foreign countries.

During this period, Quynh Luu district also disseminated information and provided advice on overseas labor export to mountainous communes in Quynh Chau and coastal communes in Quynh Bang.
