Launching a comprehensive guide to Vietnam

The Department of External Information (Ministry of Information and Communications) has just coordinated with the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, Vietnam Pictorial (Vietnam News Agency) and World Publishing House to compile and publish the book "Vietnam Annual 2016."

180 pages thick, size 20x26cm, the content of this book introduces an overview of Vietnam with a thousand years of history, unique cultural features of each region, famous landscapes, gentle and dynamic people and achievements in all aspects over 30 years of renovation to friends around the world.

The book also incorporates many unique, vivid, and attractive illustrations of people, events, landscapes, and festivals in Vietnam. This will be a handbook providing useful information for foreigners interested in Vietnam, investors, tourists, and for research, teaching, and learning.

“Vietnam Annual 2016” consists of 7 chapters and 1 appendix, each chapter focuses on providing useful information about each industry and field of Vietnam. In particular, the book also has a chapter introducing the issue of human rights and social welfare in Vietnam - an issue that is of concern to the world.

According to Mr. Le Nghiem, Director of the Department of Foreign Information, this book will be published annually, in two languages, English and Vietnamese, sending to international friends a message about a peaceful, stable Vietnam with a long-standing culture, rich in humanity, constantly developing and an attractive destination for international friends./.
