According to statistics in Vietnam, Rh+ blood group accounts for about 99.96%, while Rh- blood group accounts for a very low percentage, about 0.04% of the population.
In particular, the rare blood group Rh- is a special blood product used for treatment and prevention of bleeding manifestations but has a preservation and storage period of only about 3 to 5 days. Therefore, the establishment of the Rare Blood Group Club of Nghe An province is of great significance in helping hospitals proactively source rare blood, serving the examination, treatment and saving lives.
