Launching the new Youth Union of Nghe An Business Bloc and the exciting program 'Exchange trash for trees - Exchange paper for books'
(Baonghean.vn) - Hundreds of union members and youth of Nghe An Business Bloc enthusiastically participated in the program "Exchanging trash for trees - Exchanging paper for books" in 2024 and launched the newly established grassroots Youth Union organization at the Central Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company.

At the program, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union of Nghe An Province's Business Bloc announced the decision to establish the Youth Union of the Central Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company. This is the 74th grassroots unit of the Youth Union of Nghe An Province's Business Bloc. The Youth Union has 12 members, comrade Le Thi Nhu (born in 1992) holds the position of Secretary of the Youth Union.

After its establishment, the Provisional Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the Central Education Investment and Development Joint Stock Company is responsible for leading the Youth Union work and youth movement at the unit in accordance with the functions and tasks of the Youth Union, under the direct leadership of the unit's leaders and the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of Nghe An Province's Business Bloc.
At the program, the Business Bloc Delegation of Nghe An province also launched the program "Exchanging trash for trees - Exchanging paper for books" in 2024.
This is a program implemented annually by the Provincial Business Bloc Youth Union, and is also an activity to celebrate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2024).
According to statistics, from 2020 to now, the amount of converted scrap has been nearly 350 trees, 450kg of rice, more than 350 books, and more than 8 tons of garbage and cans.
The program aims to raise awareness among union members and young people in limiting the use of plastic waste, improving office space and contributing to spreading messages of environmental protection.

Entering 2024, the Standing Committee of the Youth Union hopes that the Youth Union organizations will actively respond to activities to create the habit of limiting the use of plastic products, building a green consumption lifestyle, and promoting recycling and waste reduction.

On the morning of February 1, the program exchanged 150 trees and 200 kg of rice.
According to the plan, for the Youth Union, each unit is expected to collect at least 30kg of paper and 10kg of cans. For the Youth Union, each unit collects at least 20kg of paper and 10kg of cans.
Of which, 2kg of cans can be exchanged for one tree, 4kg of cans can be exchanged for one book. For paper and cardboard, 8kg can be exchanged for one tree and 12kg can be exchanged for one book.
