Launching a specialized page providing information on martyrs and martyrs' graves
Towards the 70th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2017), contributing to the good performance of the army's rear work, on March 13, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Political Department, Military Region 7 Command organized the launching ceremony of the specialized page on martyrs and martyrs' graves on the Military Region 7 Electronic Newspaper.

The “Information on martyrs’ graves” page is placed in the right banner of the home page of the electronic Military Region 7 newspaper (website address: www.baoquankhu7.vn), providing information on 101,292 martyrs’ graves currently gathered at martyrs’ cemeteries in localities in Military Region 7 (including Ho Chi Minh City and the provinces of Binh Duong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Long An, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh). Information on martyrs’ graves in Binh Thuan province is being compiled and updated in the coming time.
In order to create favorable conditions, reduce time, effort and finance for relatives and families of martyrs to search for the graves of their deceased relatives, the Specialized Page is designed to provide information according to 5 basic search fields: Full name of martyr; unit at the time of death; hometown; time of death; cemetery name. Search results also provide more detailed information for relatives of martyrs such as grave number, grave lot, grave area, cemetery management level, which locality the martyr belongs to...
Based on initial data from the Institute of Information Technology, Ministry of National Defense, the "Martyr Information" page of the Military Region 7 Electronic Newspaper provides information on 92,035 martyrs from localities in Military Region 7, according to 11 search fields: full name; date of birth; hometown; unit, rank, position; date of death; place of death; case of death; original burial place; current burial place.
Appreciating the efforts of the officers, soldiers and related units in establishing the information page about martyrs and martyrs' graves, Major General Nguyen Minh Hoang, Deputy Political Commissar of Military Region 7 requested Military Region 7 Newspaper and functional units to continue to coordinate and complete the information page; supplement and update information about martyrs and martyrs' graves in Military Region 7, meeting the urgent needs of martyrs' families in searching and visiting martyrs' graves. In addition, Military Region 7 Newspaper needs to improve the interface of the section, creating favorable conditions for accessing and searching for information for all people.
On this occasion, towards the 63rd anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2017), the Military Zone 7 Electronic Newspaper introduces the special topic "Winter-Spring Campaign 1953-1954," including 56 documentary episodes titled "The Road to Battle," providing information about the Winter-Spring strategic offensive 1953-1954 with the climax being the victory of the Dien Bien Phu campaign, forcing the invading French colonialists to sit at the conference table to sign the Geneva Agreement on ending the war and restoring peace in Indochina./.
