Launching the Club for Prevention of Domestic Violence
(Baonghean.vn) -On the evening of May 22, the People's Committee of Hoa Hieu Ward (Thai Hoa Town) organized the launching ceremony of the Club "Prevention and control of domestic violence associated with a trusted address in the community".
The Club "Prevention and control of domestic violence associated with a trusted address in the community" aims to create solidarity among member families, mobilize everyone to participate in preventing and controlling domestic violence; take care of the health of mothers and children; propagate the Law on Marriage and Family, the Law on Prevention of Domestic Violence, the Law on Gender Equality to members, contribute to educating national cultural traditions, prevent and control social evils and implement the motto "family with few children, prosperity, equality, happiness".
Introducing the Club Management Board
The Club's activities are through meetings, thematic talks, dramatizations... with the coordination and support of the Ward Women's Union, Ward Police and Town Justice Department in consulting, propagating and promptly handling violations arising in the area.
At the launching ceremony, the Club's Executive Board approved the charter, operating regulations and organized the admission of the first 50 members to the Club. This is a model of the Club "preventing and combating domestic violence associated with a trusted address in the community" at the ward and commune levels, chosen by the Women's Union of Nghe An province as a pilot to gain experience and replicate throughout the province in the coming time.
