Launching Nghe An Trade Union football team to participate in Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament

Attending the ceremony were comrade Thai Minh Sy - Vice President of Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation, head of Nghe An Trade Union football team; representatives of leaders of a number of agencies and companies under Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation.

In order to promote the movement of physical exercise and sports, contributing to improving the cultural life and spirit of civil servants, public employees, workers in particular and the whole society in general, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor,Vietnam Football Federation, Tuoi Tre Newspaper cooperates to organize the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament.

This year's tournament is organized in a 7-a-side format. The tournament has 57 participating teams, divided into 4 qualifying regions, selecting 16 excellent teams to participate in the final round.

In region 3, there are 11 participating teams, of which Nghe An Trade Union team will be the home team.

11 teams in region 3 will be divided into 3 groups to compete in a round-robin to select the 3 best First, Second and 2 Third place teams in each group to enter the Quarterfinals. In this region, 4 excellent teams will be selected to participate in the final round of the Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament 2024.

Nghe An Trade Union Team was established with 1 team leader, 1 coach and 18 players. All the team members are civil servants, public employees and workers under the Nghe An Provincial Labor Federation. In particular, the core of Nghe An Trade Union Team are workers working at Nghe An Urban Environment and Construction Joint Stock Company.

At the launching ceremony, Mr. Thai Minh Sy said: "To best prepare for the 2024 Vietnam Workers and Civil Servants Football Tournament, from September 15, the team has started serious training. Overall, the whole team is showing great determination and is ready to conquer this year's tournament. We aim to pass the qualifying round to be among the 16 teams participating in the final round."

In the launching ceremony, Nghe An Trade Union team had a friendly match with Song Lam Nghe An youth football team. The match was exciting and exciting with the victory going to Nghe An Trade Union team.

On October 11, Nghe An Trade Union football team will officially participate in the qualifying round of region 3.
