Launching the Vinh Ancient Citadel Night Food Street
(Baonghean.vn) - On the evening of April 27th, Vinh City held a ceremony to launch the Vinh Ancient Citadel Night Food Street in its new look. This is a meaningful activity aimed at promoting Nghe An cuisine while serving locals and tourists visiting Vinh City during the tourist season.
Attending the launch ceremony were Mr. Tran Ngoc Tu - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh City, the Vice Chairmen of Vinh City, and a large number of people from Vinh City and tourists from near and far.
Over the years, along the routeDao Tan StreetLocated in Cua Nam ward, a night food street has been formed, offering many specialty dishes from Nghe An province, attracting a certain number of customers and contributing to the development of the night economy of the ward in particular and Vinh city in general.

Taking advantage of its existing strengths, Vinh City has developed the "Vinh Ancient Citadel Night Food Street" project in Cua Nam ward to implement comprehensive solutions aimed at elevating the food street, creating a highlight for locals and tourists to visit and experience.

To give the Vinh Ancient Citadel night food street a new look, the city of Vinh has recently focused on renovating the streets, such as upgrading sidewalks, decorative lighting systems, and standardizing the kiosks. Business owners have also voluntarily invested in and renovated their establishments. Cua Nam Ward has also deployed forces to sign commitments with business owners, requiring them to ensure compliance with food safety and environmental hygiene regulations when they begin operations.

The Vinh Ancient Citadel night food street is implemented along two routes. Route 1 is Dao Tan Street, the section from the Right Gate to the Left Gate of Vinh Ancient Citadel. Route 2 is located east of the Nghe An Radio and Television Broadcasting Center, approximately 150m long, intersecting with Dao Tan Street.

The Vinh Ancient Citadel night food street currently has 28 registered businesses. Of these, 12 are fixed businesses and 16 are mobile businesses. The number of businesses will be considered for expansion after evaluating the effectiveness of the streets once they are operational.
Vinh City also specifies operating hours for business owners. For mobile kiosks, operating hours are from 6 PM to 6 AM the following morning, every day of the week. After this time, all businesses must cease operations, clean up, and restore the premises to their original condition. Fixed kiosks, however, are permitted to operate 24/7.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Mr. Tran Quang Lam, Vice Chairman of the Vinh City People's Committee, emphasized that the Vinh Ancient Citadel Night Food Street will be a new destination for the city. He also requested the Cua Nam ward to effectively implement the project, deploying forces to control business activities, maintain security and order, and ensure environmental protection in the area. Business owners were urged to uphold civilized commercial practices and conduct business ethically so that the food street would leave a lasting impression on tourists.

The launch of the Vinh Ancient Citadel Night Food Street with its new look promises to create a new highlight, allowing tourists to both visit the ancient citadel and experience and enjoy Nghe An cuisine in the surrounding areas.
The Vinh Ancient Citadel night food street, along with the Cao Thang pedestrian street and night street, are key projects in Vinh City's plan for developing its night-time economy.
