Launching the Nghe An Elderly Charity Fund.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of August 30th, in Vinh City, the Elderly Welfare Fund - Nghe An Branch held a ceremony to launch the Elderly Welfare Fund and implement the action program for the elderly in Nghe An province for the period 2013-2017.
Upon becoming operational, the Charitable Fund will focus on activities such as community-based healthcare; livelihood programs; rights for the elderly; establishing healthcare centers; and home care. The establishment of the Elderly Charitable Fund will contribute to raising awareness and responsibility within the community and society in supporting, caring for, and protecting the legal rights and interests of the elderly, especially those who are lonely, disabled, or without income.
At the launch ceremony, the chair of the Elderly Welfare Fund's management board, Ms. Pham Thi Phuong Lan, stated: The fund's capital will be mobilized from businesses, organizations, and individuals both domestically and internationally; through programs, projects, and the generosity of sponsors, all working together to care for the elderly. The fund will establish a hotline to directly advise or connect with organizations, individuals, and experts on the elderly, creating recreational activities for senior citizens.

Also at the ceremony, the Elderly Charity Fund, along with several businesses, presented six gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to elderly people in difficult circumstances.
