(Baonghean.vn) - On December 20th, the Yen Thanh District Literature and Arts Association held a book launch ceremony for "The Unfilled Gap" by author Nguyen Viet Hoa - Principal of Ho Tong Thoc Secondary School (Tho Thanh District), and a member of the Nghe An Literature and Arts Association.

This book, a collection of 7 short stories and 5 essays, was published by the Vietnam Writers Association Publishing House in 2015. The short stories reflect social realities and the hardships and suffering of the post-war era; the essays, on the other hand, focus on positive aspects, praising acts of kindness and patriotism during the years of reform. It can be said that these two genres complement each other, creating compelling plotlines and surprising the reader with one unexpected twist after another.

Among his works is "The Vibrant Craft Village," which won the A prize in the writing competition about workers organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 1998, and a short story and essay published in the Literature Weekly, Song Huong Magazine, Song Lam Magazine, etc. He portrays these themes authentically and subtly, imbued with the breath of life, educational value, and profound humanistic values, with a unique creative style that has been sincerely received by a wide readership, contributing to the encouragement of local movements.
