Launching the Center for Education Quality Assessment
On January 8, the Ministry of Education and Training officially issued the decision to establish and put into operation the Center for Education Quality Assessment (under the Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges).
The Center is an independent educational quality assessment organization, with the mission of evaluating and recognizing educational institutions and educational programs that meet national educational quality standards. Currently, the Center for Educational Quality Assessment has 25 assessors, of which 10 were trained abroad.
According to Mr. Tran Xuan Nhi, Vice President of the Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges, this is the first independent accreditation center in Vietnam. In the world, especially in countries with advanced education, with standards and criteria for assessing educational quality, accreditation results are a vital factor that determines the existence of universities.
Currently, Vietnam has only established 4 Centers for Education Quality Assessment under: Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Danang University and the Center under the Association of Vietnamese Universities and Colleges.
