Launch of Thanh Chuong Buddhist Office
On the afternoon of January 11, at Nguu Tu Pagoda, Dung Town, Thanh Chuong District, the launching ceremony of Thanh Chuong Buddhist Office took place.
Attending the ceremony were leaders of Thanh Chuong district, Dung town, monks and Buddhists inside and outside the district.
Thanh Chuong Buddhist Office is located at Nguu Tu Pagoda, headed by Venerable Thich Tue Minh - Head of the Buddhist Guidance Board, Provincial Buddhist Sangha.

Also this afternoon, at Nguu Tu Pagoda, the ceremony of calling the gods into the statues took place. Monks and Buddhists performed spiritual rituals to call the gods into the statues of 5 new statues that were brought from Son Dong craft village, Hoai Duc, Hanoi.
These are statues of Buddha Shakyamuni, Bodhisattva Manjushri, Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, Duc Ong, Duc Thanh Hien... made from raw jackfruit wood.

It is known that Nguu Tu Pagoda in Block 2A, Dung Town is an ancient pagoda that has existed for a long time. During the war, Nguu Tu Pagoda was damaged, leaving only the yard as a vestige. In 2014, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee approved the restoration of this pagoda.
Over the past 10 years, under the leadership of monks, the Provincial Buddhist Sangha, the Board of Trustees and Buddhists from near and far have continuously built and restored the pagoda, expanded practice activities, so that Nguu Tu Pagoda has become a beautiful pagoda, meeting the religious and belief needs of local people.
