Killed neighbor just because of small conflict

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of March 30, Lieutenant Colonel Tran Van Khang, Deputy Chief of Dien Chau District Police (Nghe An), said that he had just issued a decision to prosecute and temporarily detain Hoang Huu Hai (45 years old, residing in Hamlet 6, Dien Thinh Commune, Dien Chau District) for intentionally causing injury resulting in death.

Before that, at around 1:30 p.m. on March 23, Hai went to Ms. Hien's coffee shop and accidentally met Mr. Hoang Cong Duc (66 years old, living in the same neighborhood) riding a bicycle in the same direction home. Because they were neighbors, Hai greeted Mr. Duc. Seeing Mr. Duc put the dog in the front basket of his bike, Hai asked Mr. Duc where he bought it, and Mr. Duc replied: "I won't feed you anywhere." After that, Mr. Duc also said that Hai had taken his money, so the two sides argued.

Although Hai tried to explain that he did not take any money, Mr. Duc did not believe him and continued to curse Hai. Seeing this, Ms. Hien from the restaurant ran out to stop him.

After that, Hai and Mr. Duc went home. After about 50 meters, Mr. Duc stopped and blocked Hai's car, pushed Hai hard, cursed him, and falsely accused him of stealing money. Hai was so angry that he used his right foot to kick Mr. Duc in the leg and used his right hand to punch him in the head, causing him to fall unconscious. After the incident, some people advised Hai to go home, because no one from Mr. Duc's family came to beat him. Afterwards, Mr. Duc was taken to the hospital but died.

After the incident, Hai went to Dien Thinh Commune Police to confess his actions.

It is known that Hai and Mr. Duc are neighbors, and often visit each other. Hai is a gentle farmer, his family is in difficult circumstances, has 2 small children, and his wife is often sick. After committing his crime in the past few days, in the detention room, Hai is very remorseful for his actions.
