The world's number 2 tennis player is the latest figure to be cast by the famous Madame Tussauds wax museum. His wax statue has just been introduced to the public.

In response to the demand of many visitors, Madame Tussauds wax museum has decided to cast a wax statue of tennis star Rafael Nadal -Ndtvreport

After four months of continuous work, a team of 20 modelers, sculptors and other artists completed the statue of the world's number 2 tennis player. His statue was placed on a tennis court in the hope of providing visitors with an interesting experience.

“Nadal has been one of the most requested figures by visitors this year,” said Liz Edwards, Madame Tussauds representative. “He is closing in on his seventh French Open title so it was the perfect time to introduce this statue.”

Ms. Liz also said that, along with other statues in the Olympic area, Nadal's wax statue is one of the most popular statues.

It is known that the cost to make the statue and the arena as well as other details is about 236 thousand USD.

Many people think that the statue is almost perfect compared to Nadal in real life. However, fans of the Spanish tennis player still feel that it needs some adjustment.

“I think this statue should have Rafa facing forward a bit and the shoulder position should also be changed because he is making a cut. It looks like he is standing there posing, so it is not perfect,” one fan commented.

Currently, among the tennis players, only statues of Nadal and legend Boris Becker are on display in the outdoor area at Madame Tussauds wax museum, London.

Let's see Nadal's wax statues at the famous museumMadame Tussauds:

Almost undetectable, this is just a wax figure...

It's like Nadal is playing...

Really can't tell the difference...
