Tan Ky farmers promote winter vegetable cultivation. |
Due to the need to provide green vegetables primarily for the family and understanding the consumer psychology of preferring clean vegetables, vegetable growers in Tan Ky have limited the use of pesticides; proactively provided water for irrigation of crops; many households have drilled and dug wells directly in the middle of the fields, and regularly visited the fields to promptly detect pests and diseases early.
Mr. Tran Tu Ba - Vice President of Tan Ky District Gardening Association affirmed: "In previous years, markets such as Lat Market in the Town, Sen Market in Nghia Dong, Cua Market in Nghia Hoan had to buy vegetables from Do Luong, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh districts, but now, the problem of not having to buy vegetables from other districts has basically been solved, and some vegetable products have been exported to other districts such as green squash, pumpkin...".
