(Baonghean.vn) - Although this year the weather is very difficult to produce winter vegetables, thanks to proactive breeding and diligent care, some early winter vegetable tea in Anh Son has been harvested. Currently, the price of early-season vegetables is good, increasing by 20-30% compared to last year.

At this time, 3 sao of specialized vegetables of Ms. Nguyen Thi Hai in Hoi Lam village, Cam Son commune have begun to harvest. According to Ms. Hai, although the climate this year is erratic, heavy rain at the beginning of the season and then prolonged heat makes the vegetable plants grow slowly, stagnate for a short time, and productivity decreases compared to previous years, but in return, this year the price is quite high and stable, so people are very excited. On average, cabbage is 10,000 VND/head, green beans are 9,000 VND/kg, the first crop is 15,000 VND/kg.

Previously, realizing that this year's weather would be hot and dry for a long time, Ms. Hai's family prepared the land and planted winter vegetables such as cabbage, kohlrabi, green beans, and mustard greens earlier than other people in the area.

In Thach Son commune, people are also harvesting mustard greens on alluvial land at this time. Quickly bundling mustard greens to wait for traders to buy, Ms. Tran Thi Hoa, village 5, Thach Son commune shared: Her family has more than two sao of alluvial land specializing in growing vegetables. Currently, only mustard greens are for harvest, this year the price is higher than every year, each bundle of mustard greens costs 5,000 VND. After deducting expenses, on average, 1 sao of early winter vegetables this year, farmers earn about 6 million VND/sao. Currently, Ms. Hoa's family is taking advantage of planting vegetables, tubers, and fruits to supply green vegetables for the upcoming Tet holiday.

This winter crop, Anh Son district planted 305 hectares of various vegetables and beans, spread throughout the communes. Of which, the largest vegetable area is still in Cam Son, Thach Son, Lang Son, and Tuong Son. The squash area is 55 hectares in Cam Son, Duc Son, and Tao Son and sweet potatoes are 81 hectares.
