Real Madrid lost Varane in the Champions League final
The French centre-back is out for three weeks with a hamstring injury, and will miss Real's most important game of the season.
Raphael Varane was once called the best defender in the world by Jose Mourinho. He has played more than 150 matches for Real at the age of 23. Although the "White Vultures" are likely to play with the central defender duo Pepe - Sergio Ramos, Varane's absence is a big loss for them.

"All tests were carried out on player Raphael Varane today. He has been diagnosed with two injuries to his left hamstring. His recovery will continue to be monitored," Real Madrid announced in an official statement.
Varane is part of France's Euro 2016 squad, but the injury has hampered his preparations for the tournament, which will be held in his home country. France's opening match is against Romania on June 10, and Varane is unlikely to be fit to play in that match.
This will lead to no small difficulty for coach Didier Deschamps. France has lost two central defenders, Kurt Zouma (injured) and Mamadou Sakho (banned due to positive doping).
