RFA plays the trick of 'listening to gossip' again

The tone is absurd and out of place.

Discussing the First Extraordinary Session of the Vietnamese National Assembly, in the article: “Is an Extraordinary National Assembly Meeting Normal at This Time?”, some people, according to Radio Free Asia (RFA), who spoke with them, commented that: in the midst of socio-economic difficulties, people’s lives are in dire need of resolution and remediation; the complicated development of the Covid-19 epidemic requires focus on prevention and control... that the Vietnamese National Assembly holding such an Extraordinary Session is not appropriate. Furthermore, they argued that the contents discussed and decided upon at the meeting were not necessary enough to warrant an Extraordinary Meeting... Finally, they concluded that: “the reason for holding an Extraordinary Meeting is not convincing”.

In fact, the above statement only shows the tone and tricks of hostile, reactionary, and opportunistic political forces. We are not unfamiliar with this trick because it is just "rehashing the old story". To sabotage Vietnam, hostile and reactionary forces thoroughly dig into the difficulties we are facing, the problems arising in life to incite and create instability, putting pressure on the Vietnamese State. In fact, the argument that the National Assembly Standing Committee's decision to organize an extraordinary session is not suitable for the context and content of the session... is not for any other purpose than to undermine the role and prestige of the National Assembly and the meaning and importance of the First Extraordinary Session. But the current reality has confirmed that the tones that RFA has put forth are just nonsense and out of place.

Not only is it nonsense and out of place, but RFA's rhetoric is absurd because it is inconsistent with a very basic principle of modern international law: No country, group of countries or international organization has the right to interfere in the internal and external affairs under the exclusive jurisdiction of another country in any form. The decision of the National Assembly Standing Committee to hold an extraordinary session is Vietnam's internal affair. Only the Vietnamese people can thoroughly and specifically understand the situation, tasks and decide on the issues of their country. RFA's discussion is just "hearing the wind" based on information collected from social networks and politically dissatisfied people, and is completely baseless. RFA's deliberate act of bringing up this event for discussion, commentary, and assessment with provocative tones, sowing doubt in public opinion, is blatant interference in Vietnam's internal affairs, which is absurd and unacceptable.

Important meeting, meeting urgent requirements

The absurd and incongruous arguments mentioned above cannot deny the reality taking place in Vietnam. Looking back at the country's tasks, we can easily see that in recent times, especially in the third and fourth quarters of 2021, the COVID-19 pandemic with the Delta variant has broken out strongly and spread rapidly in most localities across the country. Difficulties have piled up, but thanks to the correct, flexible and timely leadership and direction of the Party and State and the spirit of solidarity and efforts of the entire political system and the entire people, Vietnam has overcome and achieved many important results in all fields.

However, the extremely complicated developments of the epidemic situation have had a serious impact and influence on all aspects of economic and social life and people's activities. In fact, the country is posing many problems that require the National Assembly to immediately give opinions and soon pass policies and decisions to resolve them. Most obviously, the Vietnamese economy is facing many difficulties and challenges. In many localities, the COVID-19 epidemic situation is still complicated and unpredictable... In his opening speech at the Session, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue stated: The First Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly was held to promptly issue decisions to support the implementation of the socio-economic recovery and development program; resolve legal problems for investment and development...

Thus, it can be affirmed that the reason for the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to hold the session is very clear and convincing, it comes from the urgent needs of the country, not the will of any individual. The vast majority of voters and people are also clearly aware of the problem, agreeing and supporting the decision of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly on holding the First Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Through following the activities of the Session in recent days, voters and people nationwide welcomed the responsible working spirit of the National Assembly deputies. It is the high sense of responsibility of the National Assembly deputies that is the basis for the successful conduct of the Session, discussing and deciding on important, urgent contents of great significance to help the country both recover and develop the socio-economy, effectively prevent and combat the COVID-19 pandemic, and care for and improve the material and spiritual life of the people...

On the other hand, the decision of the National Assembly Standing Committee to hold an extraordinary session is completely correct in accordance with the provisions of the 2013 Constitution, the Law on Organization of the National Assembly and the Resolutions of the 2nd Session of the 15th National Assembly.

Cannot fool public opinion

The Vietnamese people are well aware that the First Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly is of utmost importance, not only attracting the attention and follow-up of voters, people, and the domestic business community, but also of our compatriots abroad and international friends.

After 5 days of working very urgently, scientifically, democratically and with high responsibility, the First Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly has completed the entire proposed program and achieved great success. The National Assembly delegations and National Assembly deputies focused on researching, discussing enthusiastically, giving advice and contributing many passionate, profound and quality opinions to the contents of the First Extraordinary Session for the 15th National Assembly to consider and vote for approval. Witnessing the responsible working spirit of the National Assembly, voters and people nationwide have more confidence in those who represent their will and aspirations. It can be affirmed that the results of the First Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly have met the expectations and hopes of voters and people nationwide. Voters and people nationwide believe that the Resolutions of the First Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly will soon be effective and put into practice.

No matter how “scheming” and sophisticated and flexible the hostile, reactionary forces and political opportunists are, they cannot distort, falsify, or deceive public opinion about the clear and obvious truth about the First Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The great success of the First Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly is a strong blow to the plots, tricks, and distorting and sabotage arguments of hostile, reactionary, and political opportunists.

Continuing the working spirit of the First Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly, voters and people nationwide will always be alert, vigilant, clearly identify, proactively fight, prevent and defeat all plots, tricks, arguments and tactics of hostile, reactionary and opportunistic political forces. At the same time, to contribute to the implementation of the Resolutions of the First Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly, voters and people together with the business community both at home and abroad will unite, join forces and work together with practical actions to continue to help the country overcome difficulties and challenges; develop sustainably; and constantly improve the material and spiritual lives of the people.
