Children with paralysis can walk on their own with the help of a mobility robot developed by Trexo Robotics.

A Canadian startup has successfully developed a special robotic device for disabled children called Trexo Robotics. This new invention will help disabled and paralyzed children who are in wheelchairs to walk on their own, Science Technology reported on September 6.

Mobility aids for the disabled have been developed by many companies in recent years, but most of them are designed for adults. This is the first project focusing on developing a device specifically for children.

“Our Trexo mobility robot is the world’s first commercial device specifically designed for children with disabilities,” said Manmeet Maggu, the company’s founder and CEO.

The Trexo Robotics device connects to the disabled child with a mobile frame and flexible straps, designed to fit any child's size. The robot's two legs support the child's knees and hips with a battery-powered system, allowing the child to propel himself forward. Trexo Robotics can be used all day on a single charge.

This special robot can also connect to a computer, allowing therapists and parents to monitor the child's progress, as well as easily adjust the device's parameters as needed.

Trexo Robotics is a perfect device to help children with congenital disabilities who have lost the ability to walk to experience the feeling of walking by themselves. It also helps children with injuries and temporary loss of the ability to walk to practice walking and recover. The device is also a solution to help disabled and paralyzed children move their bodies after a long time in a wheelchair.
