Leaving VTV, Bong Mai reveals her "unexpected" salary
"If you only look at the salary after 12 years of working at the TV station, you probably won't be able to live" - Editor Bong Mai's sharing surprised many people.
Recently, BTV Bong Mai's decision to resign from VTV has caused a stir in public opinion. She caused a stir when she revealed that her salary at Vietnam Television was not enough to live on.
“I don't know about everyone else, but for me, 12 years working at the TV station, if I only looked at the salary, I probably wouldn't be able to live” - Editor Bong Mai answered in Lao Dong newspaper.
“But for those who have a passion for television and find joy when their name appears on programs after each broadcast, that will be much greater than the value of money. VTV does not pay too low, ensuring enough to live on, but if you want to get rich, VTV is not suitable for this job.
What I gained more than anything were lessons, experiences, even the experience to be able to work in such a stressful environment, I think no salary can buy that" - Editor Bong Mai added.
It can be said that the salary at VTV always makes the public curious and often causes a lot of controversy. Not long ago, in an interview with VTV, BTV Ngoc Trinh publicly announced that her income at Vietnam Television is about 20 - 25 million VND/month.
Editor Ngoc Trinh also shared that high or low income depends entirely on the effort put in and the spending needs in life. “High is because that person feels satisfied and their needs are guaranteed by that income level. As for a person who feels that their income is not enough, even if the salary is 40 million VND/month, that person will never feel that it is enough.”
Not only that, MC Ky Vong previously caused a "shock" when revealing that his income at VTV was less than 10 million VND/month. "Actually, at VTV in the past, the income was quite good compared to other press agencies. But now, it is no longer like that. No one believes it, but there are veteran reporters working at VTV News whose income is less than 10 million VND/month" - MC Ky Vong said.
