(Baonghean.vn) -On the afternoon of July 7th, a tragic drowning incident occurred in Block 12, Cau Giat town, Quynh Luu district.

At the time, 18-month-old Nguyen Van Dat, son of Dang Thi Duyen and Nguyen Van Hoang (residing in Block 12, Cau Giat town), who had just learned to walk, was playing when he fell into a neighbor's fish pond. When people discovered him and pulled him out, he had already died and had scratches on his head from hitting the pond's foundation wall.
It is known that Dat is the second child of Hoang and Duyen. When the accident occurred, Hoang (from Yen Thanh district) was back in his hometown building a new house to prepare for moving his family back there.
