(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 10, information from Fire Police Department No. 5 - Provincial Fire Prevention and Fighting Department (located in Do Luong district) said that the unit's rescue force had just successfully rescued a resident who fell into a deep cave on the top of a mountain.
At around 9:30 a.m. on June 10, while climbing a rocky mountain near the 99 mining area (My Son commune, Do Luong), Mr. Dao Van Tam (born in 1971, residing in hamlet 9, My Son commune) fell into a cave. The free fall from a distance of nearly 70 meters caused the victim to break his bones.

Upon receiving the news, Fire Police Department No. 5 sent a working group of 7 people with a rescue vehicle and specialized rescue equipment. The area where Mr. Tam had the accident was a natural cave on the top of the mountain. The cave mouth was quite wide, but the deeper he went, the narrower it became, and the cave wall had many jagged rock walls. To reach the victim's location, the rescue team had to drop a rope and then hang down. At this time, the victim Dao Van Tam was unconscious.
Sergeant Doan Khanh Linh (professional firefighting and rescue team No. 5) had to tie the victim to his body and was assisted by his teammates and dozens of local people to pull him up.
After 3 hours of effort, at 12:30 pm the same day, the victim Dao Van Tam was brought out of the cave. After first aid and bandages to fix the broken bones, Mr. Tam was taken to the emergency room in critical condition.
