One person is in critical condition after falling into a cave.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of June 10th, information from Fire Prevention and Control Police Station No. 5 - Provincial Fire Prevention and Control Department (located in Do Luong district) indicated that the unit's rescue team had successfully rescued a local resident who had fallen into a deep cave on the mountaintop.
At approximately 9:30 AM on June 10th, while climbing a rocky mountain near the 99 mining area (My Son commune, Do Luong district), Mr. Dao Van Tam (born in 1971, residing in Hamlet 9, My Son commune) fell into a cave. The free fall from a height of nearly 70 meters resulted in broken bones for the victim.

Upon receiving the report, Fire and Rescue Police Station No. 5 dispatched a team of 7 people along with a rescue vehicle and specialized rescue equipment. The area where Mr. Tam was injured was a natural cave on the mountaintop. The cave entrance was quite wide, but narrowed as they went deeper, with many jagged rock formations along the cave walls. To reach the victim, the rescue team had to lower ropes and cling to them. At this time, Mr. Dao Van Tam was unconscious.
Sergeant Doan Khanh Linh (Professional Firefighting and Rescue Team No. 5) had to tie the victim to himself and, with the help of his teammates and dozens of local residents, pull him up.
After three hours of effort, at 12:30 PM on the same day, the victim, Dao Van Tam, was finally brought out of the cave. After receiving first aid and having his broken bones bandaged and stabilized, Tam was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment in critical condition.
