A vibrant spring festival night in Western Nghe An in 2025.
On the evening of January 20th, the "Spring Festival of Western Nghe An" 2025 took place in Chi Khe commune, Con Cuong district.
Attending the event were: Bui Dinh Long - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; and Vo Van Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department.

Also attending were representatives from various departments, agencies, and districts: Con Cuong, Ky Son, Tan Ky, Anh Son, and Tuong Duong. The program also attracted a large number of amateur actors and thousands of people from Con Cuong district.

The "Spring Festival of Western Nghe An" in 2025 will be organized by the Department of Culture and Sports, in coordination with the People's Committee of the district.Con CuongOrganized by the organization. The program includes activities such as: performances of folk songs, folk music, and folk dances; excerpts from traditional folk festival rituals and traditional costumes of ethnic minorities in Nghe An; and exchanges of drumming, gong playing, furrow carving, and bamboo pole dancing to celebrate the Spring Festival between districts.

This is a unique cultural event held annually for ethnic minority communities in 11 mountainous districts of Nghe An province during the Lunar New Year. This year marks the 10th year the event has been organized, aiming to preserve and promote the beautiful customs and traditions of the ethnic communities in western Nghe An during the traditional Tet holiday. At the same time, the program contributes to strengthening and consolidating the great unity of the Vietnamese people; and encourages a joyful spirit to welcome the new year with renewed enthusiasm among the ethnic communities in western Nghe An.

Through these activities, the program also aims to introduce and promote potential.Western Nghe An tourismas a friendly and attractive destination for tourists from both within and outside the province.
The highlight of the festival was the art program "The Radiant Western Region in Spring," divided into three parts: "New Colors of the Western Region," "Echoes of the Mountains and Forests," and "The Radiant Western Region in Spring." The spectacular singing and dancing performances vividly told the story of the colorful folk culture, folk songs, folk music, and folk dances of the Kinh, Thai, Tho, Mong, Kho Mu, and O Du ethnic groups living in Western Nghe An.

Earlier that afternoon, as part of the program, at the Chi Khe commune stadium in Con Cuong district, folk games of the ethnic minorities of Nghe An province such as throwing the ball, stilt walking, and tug-of-war were held; along with activities promoting tourism, displaying and introducing characteristic cultural and tourism products of the people of western Nghe An.
