Ronaldo suspended for one match after red card in Champions League
The Juventus superstar is eligible to play in the away match at Man Utd in the third round of the group stage on October 23.
The announcement by UEFA on September 27 has relieved Cristiano Ronaldo. The 33-year-old striker had expressed his frustration at receiving a straight red card in the opening match against Valencia. He even had to leave the field in tears.

Teammates and public opinion largely sided with Ronaldo in this case, when they thought that CR7's head-slapping action on Jeison Murillo was not serious. It was Ronaldo's first red card after 15 years of competing in the Champions League.
The Portuguese captain will sit out next week's game against Young Boys. It was a straight red card, but UEFA did not extend the punishment after reviewing the footage.
So Ronaldo will be able to return to Old Trafford - the place that made his name on the world stage. He scored 118 goals in 292 matches for the "Red Devils" from 2003-2009. With Man Utd, he won three Premier League titles and one Champions League title.
