Ronaldo could break a Messi record before the Golden Ball Gala
The world's two top superstars are neck and neck for the record for most goals scored in the Champions League group stage.
Messi has 60 goals in the group stage of Europe's most prestigious tournament, just one more than his rival Ronaldo before entering this midweek match.

Ronaldo is in better form than Messi in the Champions League. |
Barca and Real will both play at home against Sporting and Dortmund, giving both Messi and Ronaldo the chance to add to their group stage scoring record.
In terms of form, Ronaldo is superior to Messi in the Champions League. The Portuguese star is leading the list of top scorers with eight goals after the group stage matches. Meanwhile, Messi has only scored three times.
The four players behind Ronaldo in the Champions League this season are Harry Kane (Tottenham), Ben Yedder (Sevilla), Cavani and Neymar (PSG), with each having six goals.
If he can take Messi's record, this will be a special gift for Ronaldo before the Golden Ball gala on December 7. Ronaldo is considered the number one candidate for this title.
