Ronaldo writes letter explaining reason for leaving Real Madrid
The Portuguese striker officially moved to Juventus with a contract worth 100 million euros after 9 years playing for the Bernabeu team.
“The years at Real Madrid were probably the happiest of my life. I am truly grateful to the club and can only thank them for the affection I received during this time,” Ronaldo began.
The Portuguese superstar has spent 9 years at the Bernabeu. However, according to the player, now is the right time for him to open a new chapter in his career.
Ronaldo himself was also the one who asked Real's board of directors to accept his request to leave, and at the same time hoped that the fans would understand his decision.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has paid tribute to Real Madrid's incredible supporters over the years. Real Madrid are a demanding club, but Ronaldo insists he will never forget how much he loved playing football there.
The former Man Utd player said: “I had great teammates in the dressing room and also felt the warmth of the fans. Together we won 4 Champions Leagues in 5 years and 3 times in a row. On a personal level, I am pleased to have won 4 Ballons d'Or and 3 Golden Boots, all during my time at this incredible club.”

When he arrives at Juventus, Ronaldo will receive a salary of 30 million euros per year, more than what he received at Real Madrid. This player is expected to become the one to lead the "Old Lady" to the Champions League title, something that the fans of this team have been waiting for for a long time.
“Real Madrid has conquered my heart, my family's heart and that is why I want to thank the club, the president, the directors, my colleagues and all the technicians, doctors, who have worked tirelessly during this time,” added the Portuguese striker.
