Quynh Bang is a commune with a large vegetable production area in Quynh Luu district with more than 200 hectares. At this time, vegetable prices are too low, and people cannot sell them. Also because vegetables are not selling well, the fields of green white mustard greens are left unharvested, but people have to sadly leave them unharvested, letting the vegetables wither because the selling price after harvest is not enough to pay for labor.
On a field of more than 1 sao of white mustard greens, which in previous crops would have yielded a profit of about 5 million VND, Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu in Dong Van hamlet, Quynh Bang had to uproot it to grow vegetables for the new crop. Meanwhile, people also harvested cauliflower and kohlrabi to throw away and continue to rotate the land for another crop.

The prices of other vegetables are also dirt cheap: Lettuce is 2,000 VND/kg, tomatoes are 3,000 VND/kg, cabbage is 1,500 VND/kg... Mr. Ho Dien An - a vegetable grower in Quynh Minh commune said: "In previous years, Tet was the time when vegetable prices increased because of the strong increase in demand, so my family planted more than 1 sao of cauliflower with 2,500 plants, expected to earn nearly ten million VND. But this year, the price of cauliflower imported from the field is only 1,000 VND/plant. The family tried to wait until after Tet to harvest to sell because they hoped the price would increase, but unexpectedly it was still the same"...
Mr. Ho Dien An bitterly shared that since last year until now, vegetable prices have been dirt cheap, while all input materials have increased, causing vegetable growers to face many difficulties.
