Many areas in Vinh City experienced tremors, suspected to be from an earthquake.
(Baonghean.vn) - At 10:35 PM on March 28th, many residents in Ben Thuy, Truong Thi, and some areas of Vinh City (Nghe An) felt aftershocks similar to an earthquake.
Some residents reported that at the time, while they were studying or working indoors, they felt as if someone was running frantically on the floor. Then, doors and some objects shook violently for a few seconds.

Mr. Vo Ha, residing in Block 13, Ben Thuy Ward, Vinh City, stated that family members noticed the front door and windows shaking for about 5 seconds.
Meanwhile, Mr. Binh Minh from Truong Thi ward said that at that time, as the whole family was getting ready for bed, they heard the sound of something falling and felt the bed shake slightly. He turned on the light to check and found that the decorative clock on the living room wall had fallen.

On social media, many people also wrote posts noting the shaking phenomenon.
Speaking with a reporter from Nghe An Newspaper, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Anh, Director of the Institute of Geophysics, said that the unit has a monitoring station at Quyet Mountain, Trung Do Ward, and has also received reports about this situation. "However, upon checking the data, no earthquakes were detected. We don't know if there are any other causes," said Dr. Nguyen Xuan Anh.
Nghe An is a locality where earthquakes frequently occur.
