Sa Pa, Hoi An among top favorite destinations in Southeast Asia
Travel site Roughguides has just announced a list of the 10 most popular destinations in Southeast Asia in 2018, voted by readers. Among them, Vietnam has 2 names on the list: Sa Pa and Hoi An.

Sa Pa 'fascinates' tourists with its majestic, wild but equally poetic beauty.
Specifically,RoughguidesIntroduction Sa Pa is a highland town built by the French in the 1920s as a summer resort in the north. In recent years, Sa Pa has developed explosively, but the landscape that brings adventure to visitors is still preserved. Trekking between the hills of terraced fields, through the Muong Hoa valley, sleeping overnight among the cloud-covered hills or conquering Fansipan to watch the sunrise are some experiences not to be missed.
With Hoi An, pageRoughguidesThis land located in the middle of the central coastal region of Vietnam is like a different world. Unlike Hanoi or Saigon, which are crowded with motorbikes, Hoi An is peaceful and has many cultural beauties that blend from France, Japan to China.
Stopping at a tea shop or a traditional tailor shop, visitors can feel the atmosphere of the old town with its yellow-washed houses, located along the Thu Bon River. Cars and motorbikes are not allowed in the old town center at certain times, so visitors can only explore by walking or cycling.
Other names that made the list include the charming city of Luang Prabang (Laos), Bohol (Philippines), Borneo (Malaysia), Bali (Indonesia), Bagan (Myanmar), Siem Reap (Cambodia). Thailand also has 2 names on the list: Chiang Mai and the island of Koh Samui.
