(Baonghean.vn) -Tam Thai Primary School (Tam Thai commune, Tuong Duong district) was recognized as a National Standard School in 2007. Teachers and students are gradually overcoming difficulties, striving to improve, and making significant progress in the field of education.
This school year, the school has 284 students (of which 96% are children of the Thai ethnic minority). As a primary school in a high mountainous region with relatively low literacy rates and economic difficulties, but thanks to the attention of the State, local authorities, and the support of the New Rural Development Program and Program 30a, Tam Thai Primary School has gradually overcome difficulties and made significant progress in its educational mission.

These days, teachers and students are organizing many activities leading up to the Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20th. Upon arriving at school, the first thing that catches the eye is the charming little bookshelves and newspaper racks scattered throughout the schoolyard. Outside of class, students can both play and read useful and interesting books.

Ms. Tran Thi Dung, the school principal, said that building a "mobile mini-library" is also among the school's activities to celebrate November 20th. In addition, the school's staff, teachers, and employees have also undertaken many practical and meaningful activities such as preparing to organize a cultural exchange night, a mini-football tournament, demonstration lessons, and workshops on innovative teaching methods aimed at fostering active, proactive, and creative learning in students. Furthermore, one of the movements that is regularly maintained and promoted, and actively supported by the school and students, is the donation of books, clothes, and school supplies to 30% of the underprivileged students in the school and other schools.
