Regarding the violations of Mr. Nguyen Van Hon - Vice Chairman of Rach Gia City People's Committee, on July 4, Mr. Ho Minh Tuan - Chairman of the Inspection Committee (IC) of Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, said that the IC only proposed to review and learn from Mr. Hon's violations, so Mr. Hon is still qualified to run for re-election.

At the first session of the 11th Rach Gia City People's Council held on the same day, Mr. Nguyen Van Hon was re-elected as Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee with 90% of the votes.

Truong Phat Company Limited's headquarters has been completed, but the application for permission is incomplete and lacks a written agreement on height as prescribed in Decree 20 of the Government.

Previously, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission had announced the conclusion of Mr. Nguyen Van Hon's violations in the management of construction planning in the area. Specifically, there were still a number of construction works exceeding the permitted height but had not been handled. Among them was the high-end apartment building of Anh Dao Su Tien Company Limited (owned by Ms. Pham Thi Dao) located on Chi Lang Street, Vinh Bao Ward.

This building was licensed for 5 floors, but has now been built to 11 floors; the headquarters of Truong Phat Company Limited (directed by Mr. Duong Duc Truong) is located at 434A Nguyen Trung Truc, Vinh Lac Ward, about 300 meters from the Military Command of Kien Giang Province. The construction permit was granted when the application was incomplete and lacked a written agreement on the height as prescribed in Decree 20 of the Government. In addition, Mr. Hon also built a house on an area of ​​more than 8,700 square meters of his family's land, while this is agricultural land that has not been converted to residential land as prescribed.

Regarding personal assets, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission concluded that Mr. Hon's declaration of land plots did not fully cover the origin and value of the assets. At the time of inspection, Mr. Hon declared that he had 8 land plots in Rach Gia City and Chau Thanh District with a total area of ​​over 26,641 m2, worth nearly 20 billion VND; in which the smallest plot was over 331 m2 and the largest was 8,778 m2./.
