Diyarbakir Airport in Türkiye was attacked again with rockets.
Reuters reported that the private news agency Dogan reported on August 27 that several individuals suspected of being Kurdish militants fired rockets at Diyarbakir airport in southeastern Türkiye, but there was no information yet on casualties.
According to the news agency, militants fired four rockets at the police checkpoint outside the VIP lounge on the airport grounds, forcing staff and passengers to seek shelter inside the terminal.

Meanwhile, NTV television reported that the rockets landed in a nearby vacant lot.
Diyarbakir is a key city in southeastern Türkiye. It is a predominantly Kurdish area where Kurdish rebels have waged an insurgency for the past 30 years.
On the same day, a Turkish soldier was killed and three others wounded in a rocket attack on a tank near the town of Jarablus in northern Syria, following Ankara's cross-border operation last week.
According to Turkish military sources, the attack originated from territory controlled by the Kurdish People's Self-Defense Units (YPG).
