Diyarbakir Airport in Türkiye attacked by rockets again
Reuters reported that on August 27, suspected Kurdish rebels fired rockets at Diyarbakir airport in southeastern Türkiye, but there were no immediate reports of casualties.
According to the news agency, the rebels fired four rockets at the police checkpoint outside the VIP hall of the airport, forcing staff and passengers to seek shelter inside the terminal.

Diyarbakir is a key city in southeastern Türkiye, a predominantly Kurdish region where Kurdish rebels have waged a 30-year insurgency.
On the same day, a Turkish soldier was killed and three others were injured in a rocket attack on a tank near the town of Jarablus in northern Syria, after Ankara launched a cross-border operation last week.
