According to a survey, the number of workers of working age who need to find jobs each year in Nghe An is estimated at about 36,000 people. Although the Provincial People's Committee has issued and implemented many documents and policies to support job creation opportunities for young people, especially rural and mountainous workers, workers from poor and near-poor households, and policy beneficiaries, the labor market still faces many difficulties, and the connection between labor supply and demand is not very effective. Many businesses are facing difficulties in recruiting trained workers and unskilled workers.
In order to provide diverse and attractive job information and recruitment needs of enterprises inside and outside the province, job consulting; effectively connecting supply and demand between labor and enterprises, in 2010, approved by the Provincial People's Committee and supported by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Nghe An Provincial Employment Service Center implemented the Nghe An Job Exchange project. After more than 6 years of operation, the Provincial Job Exchange has gradually affirmed its important role in the development of the local labor market.

Currently, the Provincial Job Exchange operates with a frequency of 2 fixed sessions per month (on the 10th and 25th of each month at the Nghe An Employment Service Center). The main subjects accessing the exchange are young people of working age, female workers, new graduates, workers receiving unemployment insurance benefits... who need to find jobs and learn a trade. Through fixed and mobile job exchange sessions, workers have been consulted and introduced to jobs for free to reputable businesses in and outside the province that need to recruit workers.
The number of people participating in job fairs is increasing, with an average of 70 - 150 people per session. The website and Facebook of the Job Service Center are effective tools for consulting and introducing jobs to workers; making it convenient for businesses and workers to search for recruitment information, job needs, vocational training, export markets, etc. The Center's website Vieclamnghean.vn has so far had nearly 1.4 million visitors and people looking for information on the labor market.
Since 2015, the job exchange has expanded its scope of operations (through Mobile Job Exchanges) to communes, wards and towns of remote and coastal districts such as: Quy Chau, Quy Hop, Thai Hoa Town, Anh Son, Tan Ky, Yen Thanh, Quynh Luu...
In 2017, the Employment Service Center successfully organized 49 job fairs (including 22 permanent job fairs and 27 mobile job fairs). 605 businesses participated in the Job Fair; over 10,000 workers participated in the Job Fair; 1,900 workers were recruited and over 220 workers participated in vocational training. From 2010 to present, an average of 8,100 workers participated in the fair each year; 416 businesses participated in recruiting workers through the fair. The number of recruited workers was over 1,200.
To achieve the above results, the Center has actively coordinated with localities in the province to investigate, survey, and grasp the number of unemployed workers, promptly provide advice, and introduce effective jobs. Recently, the Center has also coordinated with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs to survey the labor demand in industrial parks in the northern provinces and labor resources in Anh Son and Con Cuong districts... In order for workers to grasp recruitment information, the Center has diversified the forms of propaganda, bringing recruitment information to communes, wards, and towns. In addition, it has directly organized transaction floors in the districts, to facilitate workers to learn about and register for recruitment.
In addition to effectively connecting labor supply and demand, the Center also organizes the reception of registration dossiers, reviews and implements procedures for resolving unemployment insurance regimes according to regulations; disseminates legal mechanisms and policies, and conducts appropriate vocational training for people receiving unemployment insurance. In the first 9 months of 2017, 9.5 thousand people applied for unemployment insurance regimes; 9.5 thousand people were resolved to receive unemployment benefits; the total amount of unemployment benefits paid was over 95 billion VND.
In addition, the Center also cooperates with a number of businesses to organize charitable activities for the community. In 2017, the Center cooperated with Brother Vietnam Co., Ltd. to organize gifts and scholarships for students of Luong Minh and Luu Kien secondary schools (Tuong Duong district); with a total value of nearly 100 million VND.
Continuing to promote the results of its activities, in the coming time, Nghe An Employment Service Center will continue to strengthen propaganda, improve the quality of job consulting; connect businesses and workers, so that Nghe An Employment Exchange becomes a reliable address connecting job supply and demand for workers in the province.
