Backstage, Nghe An singers sincerely shared their feelings and thoughts before the show. For singer Dinh Trang, although she had sung the song "Mother loves children" by musician Nguyen Van Ty many times, in the music night "Mach nguon vi, giam", Trang had a different mindset. Those were sacred experiences of being a mother of two children, being able to sympathize with the gentle lyrics of musician Nguyen Van Ty.

“I am truly moved every time I get to sing the song “Mother loves child” by musician Nguyen Van Ty. This song is associated with my years of studying at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. It is more touching, more passionate and full of all emotions when I become a mother” – singer Dinh Trang said.
As for Meritorious Artist Pham Phuong Thao, this is an opportunity for artists like her to pay tribute to respected musicians. As a native of Nghe An, she feels proud to continue the artistic tradition of her homeland, a cultural stream, a source of Vi and Giam as the name of the program suggests. "I and the artists will bring to the public works associated with the names of beloved musicians" - singer Pham Phuong Thao affirmed.
Singer Thanh Tai was also very moved to participate in the program "Mach nguon vi, giam", paying tribute to 5 talented musicians of Nghe An. For him, they are the artists who have connected, nurtured and developed Nghe Tinh folk songs. "I am very happy to be born and raised in the Central region, to be involved in folk music and to perform songs about my homeland. I am practicing very carefully to bring the audience the most beautiful emotions" - singer Thanh Tai said.
Musician Duc Trinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Music Association in the role of artistic director of the program said: Musicians Nguyen Van Ty, Nguyen Tai Tue, Hong Dang, Nguyen Trong Tao and An Thuyen are the pride not only of Nghe An but also of Vietnamese music. In addition to famous songs, associated with many music lovers, they also left behind a huge legacy of instrumental music and film music.
“Those talented people coming together in one program will create a very luxurious musical feast. It can be seen that the material of Vi and Giam folk songs has been ingrained in them since they were in the cradle. This is a talent that is innate in them, not something that can be acquired through studying,” said musician Duc Trinh.
To create the Art Program "Source of Vi, Giam" we must mention the organizing role of the Nghe An Province Association, sponsors, who wholeheartedly turned to their homeland. Businessman Tran Van Le said:
"When I heard the heartfelt words from Lieutenant General Nguyen Quoc Thuoc and Dr. Le Doan Hop, Chairman of the Nghe An Association in Hanoi, before the show, I appreciated the efforts and dedication of the Nghe An people in Hanoi. The artists participated in the program voluntarily, with the cooperation of the sponsors to create this special program," said businessman Tran Van Le.
"The source of Vi and Giam" is the birthplace of folk songs and Vi tunes. From this cultural cradle, talented musicians: Nguyen Van Ty, Nguyen Tai Tue, Hong Dang, An Thuyen and Nguyen Trong Tao were imbued with the scholarly and folk qualities of traditional music forms, from which they flexibly applied them in contemporary compositions. However, according to Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen The Ky - Chairman of the Council of Literature and Art Theory and Criticism: These five talented artists, without the country, without the cultural cradle of the capital Hanoi, would not have been able to create compositions that "go with the years". At the age of 16, musician Hong Dang carried his backpack to the Viet Bac resistance base, then studied music and became a talented musician, a culturalist. Musician Nguyen Tai Tue lived for many years in Viet Bac, was imbued with the musical qualities of the Tay and Nung ethnic groups, and was able to write “Tieng hat gioi rung Pac Bo” and “Suoi Muong Hum con troi mai”. Musician Nguyen Van Ty was not only successful with songs about his homeland Nghe An but also left his mark with his “song industry” compositions or wrote “Dang thang Ben Tre” after many years living with the land and people of the South. Musician An Thuyen and musician Nguyen Trong Tao grew up in Nghe An, with a career in cultural activities in the army, but when they came to Hanoi, the Lam River’s cultural source seemed to blend with the country’s cultural source, and were able to create great people.
Therefore, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen The Ky hopes that the art program "The source of Vi and Giam" will somehow reflect the blending of those cultural flows. "If we only talk about the Nghe folk songs, it will not be complete and will not truly reflect the style of these musicians. For example, musician An Thuyen also has "Love Poetry of the Mountain", "Nine Levels of Love" and songs about the South, especially with "Chieu Can Tho". From the source of Nghe An, they have gone out to the "ocean". Therefore, in this program, if we only cherish the children of our homeland, it will be partly correct" - Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen The Ky said.
