(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 30, the functional forces of Huu Kiem commune coordinated with the Military Command of Ky Son district to successfully move a bomb weighing about 300 kg.

The bomb, weighing about 300 kg, was discovered during the process of digging and leveling the house foundation at Mr. Kha Van Tan's house in Na Luong 1 village, Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son.

Previously, on December 29, while digging and leveling the house foundation, Mr. Kha Van Tan's family in Na Luong 1 village, Huu Kiem commune discovered a bomb measuring 1.2 m in length, 40 cm in diameter, weighing about 300 kg, lying about 1.5 to 2 m below the ground. This is a bomb left over from the war against the US.

The authorities of Ky Son district promptly moved the bomb out of the residential area to ensure people's safety.
