This morning, June 3rd, over 41,000 students in Nghe An province participating in the high school graduation exam began taking the Geography test, with a time limit of 90 minutes, starting at 7:30 AM.

>>End of the first day of exams: Safe, serious, but not stressful

After a scorching hot day, the weather was milder this morning. From 6 am onwards, at Nghi Loc 3 High School, many candidates cycled to the exam site with confident and relaxed attitudes. Holding a geography atlas, ruler, calculator, etc., candidate Nguyen Van Binh said that on the first day of the exam, his father drove him, but today the weather was milder, and with the busy farm work, Binh came to school by himself, not bothering his parents. "I hope the geography exam will be manageable and creative, like yesterday's Literature exam," Binh said.

At the exam site at Nghi Loc 3 High School, many other parents from coastal communes brought their children to the exam this morning. "Although the children could have come to school by bicycle, we were still worried at home. It's always been like that; fathers worry when their children go to exams, so we put aside our fishing trips to bring them to the exam," said Mr. Bui Van Ba after seeing his child off at the school gate.

The invigilators checked and verified the candidates against their examination cards and explained the examination regulations.

Before entering the Geography exam center at Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Vinh City), most candidates were quite cheerful, laughing and chatting with friends about how they did on yesterday's exam. A group of students even discussed and "predicted" today's exam questions. Many were certain that the issue of islands and seas would be addressed in the Geography exam, while others asserted that the questions would include topics such as natural resources, population, labor, and employment.

In the hottest areas like Tuong Duong, Con Cuong, and Anh Son, the weather was milder this morning. This is a favorable condition for the candidates during the exam. Despite the hot weather, thanks to thorough preparation, no unfortunate incidents occurred at these exam centers on the first day. The candidates are very excited, calm, and confident as they enter the second day of the exam.

Thanks to effective inspection and supervision, as well as thorough dissemination of exam regulations, no major incidents occurred in the province on the first day of the exam. According to data compiled by the Department of Education and Training, on the first day, the province recorded 75 absent candidates, 4 cases of exam regulation violations (including 3 candidates bringing unauthorized materials and 1 candidate bringing a mobile phone into the exam room), and 1 staff member using a mobile phone in the exam area). Today, exam room discipline continues to be tightened to ensure a safe, serious, and fair exam.
