On the morning of July 4th, Nghe An province reported two new COVID-19 patients.

On the morning of July 4th, Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Director of the Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control, reported that from 7:00 PM on July 3rd, 2021 to 7:00 AM on July 4th, 2021, Nghe An province detected two new patients. Both cases are F1 contacts and had been quarantined beforehand.

Second new casePatient PVN is a male (born in 1954), a farmer, residing in Hamlet 10, Dien Thinh Commune (Dien Chau District). Patient PVN is a close contact (F1) of patient CVS. On June 17, 2021, the patient was quarantined at Dien Thinh Commune Kindergarten (sharing a room with the previously announced F0 patient CVS) and was tested three times on June 17, June 28, and July 1, all with negative results. On July 3, 2021, the patient was tested for the fourth time, confirming a positive result for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

The total number of patients who have recovered and been discharged from this outbreak (since June 13th) is 4 cases.

Of the 121 Covid-19 cases in Nghe An, 42 are related to Vinh wholesale market, specifically: 17 cases of direct traders at the wholesale market tested positive, 20 F1 contacts related to Vinh wholesale market became F0 cases, and 5 F2 contacts related to Vinh wholesale market became F0 cases.
