In Nghi Loc district, this morning, Nguyen Duy Trinh High School and Nghi Loc 4 High School announced that all students would be off school. Ms. Hoang Kim Lien - Principal of Nguyen Duy Trinh High School said: Currently, the water in the school area has only reached the edge of the yard. However, because many students and teachers of the school live quite far from the school, many roads are at risk of flooding, so to ensure the safety of students, we have announced that all students will be off school and will have a plan to make up for the loss.

Also in Nghi Loc district, this morning, many primary and secondary schools were also announced to be closed.

In a quick discussion on this issue, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training said: At 6am this morning (October 16), due to continuous rain and the risk of severe flooding, the Department has notified schools and education departments in the province to notify each parent of the school closure depending on actual conditions. Currently, many schools in localities such as Vinh city, Hung Nguyen, Nam Dan, Thanh Chuong, Nghi Loc have notified students to close school.

In Vinh city alone, Dang Thai Mai Secondary School, Ben Thuy Secondary School, and Hung Hoa Secondary School have allowed students to stay home from school.

At the elementary level, Ben Thuy, Le Loi, Hung Binh, and Le Mao schools also announced that they would be closed this morning.
