Literary composition on the topic "For national security and peaceful life"
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 20, the third Writing Camp within the framework of the Novel, Story and Journal Writing Contest on the theme "For National Security and Peaceful Life" jointly organized by the Ministry of Public Security and the Vietnam Writers Association officially opened in Cua Lo Town, Nghe An.
Attending the event were Lieutenant General Bui Ba Dinh and Lieutenant General, Writer Huu Uoc - Deputy Director General of the General Department of Politics of the Public Security Forces; Writer Nguyen Quang Thieu, Vice President of the Vietnam Writers' Association, First Deputy Secretary General of the Asian-African Writers' Association; Colonel, Writer Pham Hong Thai, Director - Editor-in-Chief of the Public Security Publishing House, Head of the Standing Committee of the Competition Steering Committee. On the Nghe An side, there were Major General Nguyen Xuan Lam, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Provincial Police Department and Colonel Dao Hong Lap, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police.

Following the success of the first Writing Camp in Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province in April 2013 and the second Writing Camp in Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province, this Writing Camp will last until April 30 with the participation of 35 authors from inside and outside the Public Security Forces. According to the plan, the writers will visit some units of the Nghe An Police, Prison No. 3 and Prison No. 6 - Ministry of Public Security; and exchange with students from Nghe An.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant General Bui Ba Dinh emphasized: In the work of fighting to protect national security and maintain social order and safety, there have been many examples of collectives and individuals who are exemplary officers and soldiers and hardworking, patriotic people whose fighting and daily life are full of novels and no less romantic, contributing to the peace and security of the Fatherland.
In order to create valuable literary works rooted in real life and elevated to artistic images, the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security have and will continue to direct the Public Security of units and localities to pay attention to and create conditions to accompany writers to penetrate into the reality of creation; approach, research records, meet with insiders; provide documents on typical collective and individual examples in the emulation movement For National Security, the People's Public Security movement to carry out a major campaign to study and follow the moral example of Ho Chi Minh...
The practical life and combat of the People's Public Security force is a fertile ground where writers can explore new things in fields that are not yet widely known to ferment creative inspiration. Each literary work or work written on the topic "For the security of the Fatherland and the peace of life" will be a close friend sharing all the joys and sorrows of each officer and soldier of the People's Public Security; actively contributing to the front of protecting national security and maintaining social order and safety, for the peace and happiness of the people.

Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Nguyen Xuan Lam - Director of Nghe An Provincial Police congratulated the achievements of the writers through the two times of organizing the Writing Camp in Quang Ninh and Lam Dong. The Ministry of Public Security's choice of Nghe An as the location for this writing camp is an opportunity for the writers to learn about the culture and people of Nghe An, the homeland of beloved President Ho Chi Minh, and the process of building, fighting and maturing of the People's Public Security force in general and Nghe An Public Security in particular on the front of protecting security and order. At the same time, he hopes to continue to receive the attention, direction and support of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the leaders of the General Department of Politics, and the writers so that Nghe An Public Security can successfully complete its assigned tasks.
It is known that after more than 2 years of implementation, the contest has initially achieved good results. CAND Publishing House has collected nearly 100 manuscripts, of which 30 works have been published. Through literary writing camps, writers inside and outside the Public Security force, with their creativity and responsibility, will produce works worthy of the traditional history of dedication and sacrifice of the Public Security force over the past 70 years.
