“Feeling different is something I’ve always felt. When I talk to a lot of kids, it turns out they feel the same way. The message I want to send to those kids is that their uniqueness makes them different, even if they can’t see it right now. I wish I had realized it sooner,” Awkwafina said.
The Asian-American star claims that her talent and creativity saved her life. It gave her hope, instilled in her a sense of self that she lacked as a child. “My whole life I’ve wanted to change the game. When we dare to do that, we make the game better and the interesting thing is that the game is always changing. The bottom line is that the world is yours to change and make an impact,” she added.
