Home Alone star wants to retire early

Macaulay Culkin believes his acting days are behind him.In a recent interview with New York magazine, Macaulay revealed that his current life is devoted to drawing, writing and other works, with no trace of acting. “I am a 35-year-old man, basically retired. I let things happen naturally, without any plans,” said the mischievous boy from the movie Home Alone.

Having become famous at the age of 10, Macaulay spent his adult life hiding from the public eye. “I would walk from 2am to 4am because the streets were empty and no one would recognise me,” Macaulay added.

The actor currently lives in New York City and Paris. He especially likes Paris because, although people know him, Macaulay is not bothered by them. “They still recognize me but they don’t care about me. And I ‘need people like that’.”

When he's not acting, Macaulay Culkin has other interests. He published his 2006 novel Junior, toured with the band Pizza, guest-starred on the Jim Gaffigan Show, and recently appeared in his friend Jack Dishel's web comedy series DRYVRS.
