Young star breaks Michael Owen's record, Liverpool enters League Cup semi-finals
Ben Woodburn became Liverpool's youngest ever goalscorer with a goal in a 2-0 win over Leeds.
Woodburn's strike came in the 81st minute, five minutes after Divock Origi had opened the scoring for Liverpool. These were two late goals, helping Jurgen Klopp's side beat the Championship side in a match they started with mostly unknown players.
In Liverpool's starting lineup for this match, only three players including Georginio Wijnaldum, Sadio Mane and Emre Can are regularly selected by Klopp, the rest are reserve players. Lucas Leiva plays as a central defender with Ragnar Klavan.
Before Liverpool opened the scoring, Leeds were playing well, creating many scoring chances. Hadi Sacko missed a chance to open the scoring for the visitors in the opening minutes. Then Kyle Bartley missed a header from a good position after the break. Midfielder Kemar Roofe hit the post a few minutes into the second half.
For Liverpool, Wijnaldum also hit the post shortly before Origi opened the scoring. Overall, a 2-0 defeat at Anfield was a pretty harsh result for Leeds. Kemar Roofe was voted man of the match, after causing Liverpool's defence a lot of trouble with his pace.

Ben Woodburn, a member of the Wales U19 team, scored after coming on in the 67th minute. This came at the age of 17 years and 45 days, 100 days younger than the old record for youngest player to score for Liverpool, held by former England striker Michael Owen.
Owen was also in the stands for the game and shortly afterwards tweeted his congratulations to Woodburn. Last Saturday in the Premier League against Sunderland, Woodburn was brought on as a second-half substitute by Klopp. It was his first-team debut for Liverpool.
Liverpool travel to Bournemouth in the Premier League this weekend, one point behind leaders Chelsea in the title race.
