(Baonghean.vn) - With the mentality of having to win but facing an extremely difficult U15 East Timor team, U15 Vietnam had to rely on a moment of individual brilliance to get through the narrow door to enter the semi-finals.

Entering the match, with modern preemptive attacks, U15 East Timor soon showed that it was no coincidence that they were leading the group after 4 matches.

Just a few seconds passed, captain Do Van Chi of U15 Vietnam had to foul a player of U15 East Timor. In the 10th minute, a dangerous situation by Alexandro Kefi of U15 East Timor made the defense of U15 Vietnam confused.

Just a few minutes later, star Paulo Freitas quickly escaped the clutches of the U15 Vietnam defender, luckily he was in an offside position. This player has just been officially recognized by the AFF as qualified to compete in the 2019 Southeast Asian U15 tournament after suspicions of age fraud.

Until the 26th minute, the most dangerous and best chance of U15 Vietnam since the beginning of the match passed away after a gentle shot by Vo Anh Quan. A series of quality passes brought the ball to the feet of No. 7 of U15 Vietnam but he finished too weakly. Immediately after that, Paulo Freitas almost scored the opening goal. Fortunately, luck was on the side of U15 Vietnam once again when the referee raised the flag for offside in the 30th minute.

The first half of the match ended with a score of 0-0. Because only a draw was needed to secure a place in the next round, U15 East Timor played quite leisurely. Meanwhile, U15 Vietnam needed to attack proactively to score a goal in the second half if they were not to be eliminated from the group stage.

Right at the beginning of the second half, striker Dam Duc Vinh from the SLNA training center left the field to make way for Nguyen Phu Nha. And the following minutes witnessed U15 Vietnam trying to attack with the hope of scoring the opening goal.

Finally, after tireless efforts, U15 Vietnam scored a goal thanks to Cai Van Quy in the 76th minute. The young player of SLNA scored consecutively in 3 matches to help coach Dinh The Nam's team pass through the narrow door to advance to the semi-finals.
