Today, heat waves occurred widely in the Northwest, Ha Giang, Cao Bang provinces and the area from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen provinces with common temperatures of 35-38 degrees, some places higher such as: Yen Chau (Son La) 39.8 degrees, Tinh Gia (Thanh Hoa) 38.1 degrees, Con Cuong (Nghe An) 39.0 degrees, Huong Khe (Ha Tinh) 38.7 degrees. In the Gulf of Tonkin, there are strong southeast winds of level 6, gusting to level 8.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said that the above weather will last until tomorrow in the Northwest and will spread to some other places in the Northeast. In the evening and at night, the North will have showers due to the impact of cold air. From April 12, the heat wave will end in the North and North Central regions, the heat wave will gradually ease in the Central Central provinces.

In addition, currently in the North, a cold air mass is moving south. It is forecasted that from the night of April 11 to April 12, cold air will affect the North and North Central regions. Due to the influence of cold air compressing the low pressure trough, from tomorrow evening (April 11), there will be widespread showers and thunderstorms in the North. From early morning and April 12, there will be moderate rain, some places will have heavy rain and scattered thunderstorms in the North and North Central regions; in thunderstorms, there is a high possibility of tornadoes, hail and strong gusts of wind.
