Smartphones with folding screens like notebooks are coming soon
Not only is Huawei a leader in the camera phone field, it is also showing serious investment in technology when aiming for a phone model with a foldable screen.
Huawei is the company that is trying the best to improve the quality of photos taken by mobile cameras. However, that is not all that this manufacturer is interested in. The Chinese company has just been granted a new patent related to a phone model that can fold in half like a notebook.
Huawei's newly approved patent was filed with WIPO on September 19 last year. The device's operating mechanism is similar to Microsoft's Surface but is much smaller in size.
The device's display is a single panel. It doesn't use a split-screen setup like the Axon M, the foldable phone that ZTE released last year.
The patent doesn’t describe how the device would work when closed, so it’s unclear how users would receive notifications. It’s possible that there could be a notification light or a secondary display.
