The 2012 Vietnam Tourism and Culture Festival in Japan will be held from September 11-20 in Tokyo and Fukuoka.

This is an opportunity for Vietnam to promote and introduce its unique products to the world, call for cooperation in many fields in the future, and at the same time strengthen cultural exchange between the two countries, introducing Vietnamese culture to the Japanese people and the Vietnamese community in Japan.

The festival will include activities such as performances of traditional folk music and dance and a traditional fashion show (organized and performed by the Vietnam National Opera, Ballet and Light Music Theatre); and a photo exhibition "Vietnam - Endless Beauty" featuring photographs celebrating the beauty of Vietnam's land, people, culture, heritage, and handicrafts, costumes, and cuisine (selected and displayed by the Department of Fine Arts and Photography).

The highlight of the festival is the "Meet Vietnam" area, featuring over 70 food stalls showcasing characteristic dishes from various regions of Vietnam, traditional handicrafts, and famous landmarks of the country.
