The biggest meteor shower of the year is coming
The Geminid shower, which produces up to 120 meteors per hour, will peak on the night of December 13 and early morning of December 14.
Astronomy lovers are about to enjoy the Gemini meteor shower "party", known as the king of meteor showers of the year.
Experts say Gemini is the best meteor shower in the sky, with up to 120 colorful meteors per hour at its peak.
The meteor shower runs annually from December 7 to 17. This year the Geminid meteor shower peaks on the night of the 13th and into the morning of the 14th.

To observe, viewers do not need to use any supporting optical devices, binoculars or telescopes, but only need to look with the naked eye.
The best viewing time is after midnight in a dark, open area. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Gemini, but can appear anywhere in the sky.
The peak of the Gemini meteor shower in 2017 occurred at around 1:00 a.m. on December 14 (Hanoi time) and lasted for about an hour.
At this time the waxing moon will set soon after midnight leaving dark skies favorable for an early morning meteor shower viewing session.
