Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper reporter, Mr. Dang Ngoc Ha - in charge of Big C Vinh supermarket security said: "After the incident, the supermarket's security force arrived promptly to block off the scene, determine the cause and fix the problem. The incident did not cause any human damage."

According to Mr. Ha, the cause was determined to be due to a private booth arbitrarily repairing camera equipment, accidentally causing a large ceiling section with an area of ​​about 15 square meters to collapse. This was an unexpected incident, because the ceiling above Big C booths is mainly made of plaster, light and thin, used to prevent dust, heat and decoration. Above are fire protection systems, smoke protection, electric lights, and refrigeration equipment... Therefore, if not careful, it is easy to cause the ceiling to collapse.

Above the ceiling is a tangle of wires of different sizes, large and small.

The incident affected three stalls including the Vitimex clothing stall, the Swiss watch stall and the feng shui stall. The stalls have now been temporarily closed pending repairs. Shopping activities at Big C supermarket are still operating normally. The Board of Directors of Big C Vinh supermarket has also reported to the corporation about the incident as well as solutions.
